  • Sharpie
  • Scissors
  • Glue

How to Make the ‘S” Snail:

  1. Trace and cut an uppercase ‘S’ out of the black foam sheet or construction paper. I used a foam sheet that was about 4" x 5" in size.
  2. Use the pink foam to cut out a ‘head’ piece for your snail ~ you can use a different color if you’d like similar to the book…but this what what I had on hand!
  3. Cut out a spiral shell for the bottom part of the snail {can you see how the ‘shell’ is cut in a spiral?}
  4. Glue the pieces of the snail together.
  5. Draw a face on your snail and outline his shell.
