Cookie Cutter Numbers ~ Little Hands-on ABC’s and 123’s

little handson Abc 123

This is a fun printing project that works on identifying numbers and the amount they represent.  When I originally did this project with Emily it was just going to be a cookie cutter printing activity with our new  Number Cookie Cutter Set .  However, Emily really wanted to use her finger prints and she turned this into a great math project.

First, Emily used the number cookie cutters to print the different numbers on the paper.

Next, Emily added her finger prints inside each of the numbers.

This turned out to be a fun project and a great way to practice counting once it was dry!

Of course you can use as many numbers as you want to practice with your child.

If you don’t have the number cookie cutters, just trace the outline of the numbers on a piece of paper and have your child use their finger prints inside.

Little Hands-on ABC’s and 123’s is a bi-monthly feature that focuses on practical and simple ideas that you can do at home to help your tot develop their letter and number skills.

What a great idea ... and I have a HUGE collection of cookie cutters that my mom use to use to decorate cakes!

What a fun and unique idea! I don't know that my daughter is quite ready for this yet, but we will definitely do this when she gets older and can better understand the concept.
